This handsome red headed scruffy boy is Rick, a 9-12 month Irish Terrier mix. Rick had the unfortunate luck of landing in the local kill shelter. His bad luck turned to good when our on the ground rescuers spotted him, and pulled him to safety. We believe that Colette and Trinity, also on this website and available for adoption, are Rick’s family, but cannot be certain. Rick and Colette are currently living in a DC-area boarding and would love to be in a foster home or a forever home.
Rick is a friendly guy, good with other dogs and children. We can have him cat tested if you’d like; just ask! Rick has his bags packed, and is headed to DC in search of his forever home. Rick can’t wait to have his very own family, one who will never abandon him. He dreams of playing ball in the yard, going to the dog park, and then curling up on a nice comfy dog bed. Can you make Rick’s dreams come true?
Like most shelter dogs, Rick may need a refresher on housetraining and crate training. We ask all of DC PAWS’ fosters to work on both house and crate training with their foster dog.
